Dear Willow Grove Families,

It was great to see so many of our families at our annual Book Fair this week. There was such a fun energy on campus, and it was clear how much our students love books. Students gathered to hear a special read-aloud from Willow Grove teacher and author, Ms. Huckleberry, and we even had a visit from Felix the Cat! A big thank you to our Willow Grove PTA for putting this together, and a special shout-out to our event chairs, Kelly Elass and Lindsey Mueller, for all the work that went into making the week run so smoothly!

A quick reminder that Tuesday, March 17th will be an early dismissal day at 12:45 p.m. so teachers can participate in professional growth and collaboration time. Thank you for making arrangements so our staff can have this important time to work together.

I am looking forward to STEAM night coming up this Thursday, March 19th. Hope to see you there!

Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, all TK and kindergarten students will begin full-day schedules on the first day of school along with the grade 1-5 students. This means there will no longer be half-day “Kindergarten Introduction Days” during the first six weeks. TK and Kindergarten students will attend school all day and follow the same start/end times as 1st - 5th grade students

The CA Reading Difficulties Risk Screener (RDRS) is a tool that is used annually with all K-2 students to assess their early reading skills. The RDRS is used to identify students who may be at risk of reading difficulties and need additional support in reading and literacy to ensure success in school. The RDRS screening process will begin in the 2025-2026 school year.
