Mrs. Lynn's Weekly Message Hello Grizzly Families,What a great first full week of school! Our students are already learning routines and diving into the curriculum—learning is evident all around campus.A big thank-you to our PTA room parents and photographers who joined us on Friday to learn about volunteering. We are so grateful for your time and dedication to supporting our classrooms!This week, students will participate in our first fire drill where they will learn important safety procedures in case of a fire. Full Day TK in Poway Unified Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, all TK and kindergarten students will begin full-day schedules on the first day of school along with the grade 1-5 students. This means there will no longer be half-day “Kindergarten Introduction Days” during the first six weeks. TK and Kindergarten students will attend school all day and follow the same start/end times as 1st - 5th grade students
READING DIFFICULTIES RISK SCREENER UPDATE The CA Reading Difficulties Risk Screener (RDRS) is a tool that is used annually with all K-2 students to assess their early reading skills. The RDRS is used to identify students who may be at risk of reading difficulties and need additional support in reading and literacy to ensure success in school. The RDRS screening process will begin in the 2025-2026 school year.
