Please join our TK and Kindergarten teachers for important informational sessions before your student becomes a Willow Grove Grizzly! The dates for those sessions are:
Kindergarten - May 1 @ 2:00 p.m. - Willow Grove Multi-Purpose Room
TK - May 16 @ 1:00 p.m. - Willow Grove Multi-Purpose Room

The CA Reading Difficulties Risk Screener (RDRS) is a tool that is used annually with all K-2 students to assess their early reading skills. The RDRS is used to identify students who may be at risk of reading difficulties and need additional support in reading and literacy to ensure success in school. The RDRS screening process will begin in the 2025-2026 school year.

We have some exciting news regarding our district’s TK program!  Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, PUSD Transitional Kindergarten will be a full-day program.  
The range of age-eligibility will also expand - children who turn four-years-old on or before September 1, 2025, will be age-eligible for TK.  (Students who turn five-years-old on or before September 1, 2025 will be age-eligible for Kindergarten).  Enrollment for TK for 2025-26 school year opens on April 1, 2025. Please feel free to share this news with your friends and neighbors who have children in this age range.

Greetings Willow Grove Grizzlies!
I have had an exciting second week as Acting Principal of Willow Grove. After two weeks, I can honestly say that I am loving every minute of my time on this campus!
This week our fifth-grade students took the MDTP testing in preparation for Middle School! Our third graders had an exciting week that included a visit to the Museum of Natural History as well as the Reading Olympics! Our staff did a “Secret Spirit Week” to see if the students could guess what the theme was each day. Ask your students if they noticed!
I also got to enjoy our first Friday Flag where I was able to see the spirit of Willow Grove on full display. I also got to meet many of you during the PTA meeting that followed Friday flag! I look forward to meeting all of you in the weeks ahead.

The Willow Grove Elementary, Odyssey of the Mind, Girls team, is heading to Michigan for the World Finals!! They were interviewed by Fox 5 news for this incredible accomplishment. Please check out the video below to see the interview! We are so proud of these incredible girls and can’t wait to cheer them on at the Finals!
